by Jeff Grundy

In part 1 of my Six minutes to Success journal, we talked about whether self improvement programs were worth their time and effort.

Our discussion centered on if the self improvement industry actually helps people become successful or would they end up successful on there own anyway. I want to believe by using self improvement we can indeed increase are odds of becoming successful.

Then why do most people who purchase items from the self help industry receive no benefits? Great question, yet know one really knows the answer. Although the vast majority of the products available all claim they know the answer.

Maybe a better answer might relate to individual needs and traits. That their is no one real path to success, no one secret to open your door to wealth or what ever you may be seeking. This allows for individual hope that self improvement is a viable course of action.

This is where Secrets to Success by Bob Proctor takes a different approach. Instead of promising a single key to your success, he opens the key to your mind. By sending you daily videos and asking the right questions, you begin to find your own way.

Certainly the material Bob Proctor offers is similar to many other programs, books and DVDs available, the method is far from the same old techniques. By sending you daily videos, he opens your mind and causes you to think and do what you need to do, not what someone else is telling you will work.

Is Six Minutes to Success the key to your success? Certainly not, well not for the vast majority of it’s users. Yet those who can focus on the lessons and themselves will certainly have a better chance at success.

We are now back to asking does self-help and self-improvement work? Yes and no. For those who do not try probably not. For those who try and give up, probably not. For those who try and keep trying, maybe. I would like to say certainly, but both you and I know that is a lie.

In an effort to help myself and to help others I have created a public mastermind to discuss these question. Information can be found on my website at 30 wasted years. Participating in Six Minutes to Success is helpful but not needed to be part of the discussion.
