You Can Obtain Almost Anything From A Vending Machine In This Day And Age

by Xavier Toolhausens

Making goods available to shoppers 24-7 is important to consumers and businesses. Vending machines provide the offering of goods when someone needs something quick. The machines can be put almost anywhere and are owned by people and corporations.

Vending machines can provide all types of goods. These useful machines usually offer vending of things like: candy, soda, juice, snacks, novelties, health products, pizza, coffee, batteries, and other items. The most recent technology has expanded these offerings to almost anything to be available at the touch of a button.

The new inventions for vending machines are amazing, and at the same time, mind boggling. Some of the craziest and most fascinating uses of vending machines are:

* Idea Vending Machine – One man, Jake Bronstein of New York, created a vending machine that vended ideas for $0.50 a pop. In short, the buyer deposits the coins in the machine and an egg (similar to those that vend gum and rings), pops out and the egg has an idea inside of it.

* Luxury Vending Machine – This type, created my Mari Balestrazzi, vend anything but kids jewelry and gum. They actually vend vehicles, clothing, expensive suits, and even luxury homes. These large items obviously cannot vend from the machine but spit out a ticket to go and pick the item up or claim ownership of the good after purchase.

* Marijuana Machine – This kind of machine vends marijuana for use by the sick. Installed in Los Angeles, where marijuana use for the ill is legal, this type includes a card reader that checks the person’s eligibility of medical marijuana and dispenses the drug to these individuals. These machines are usually controlled and some of them include a biometric system to run a fingerprint scan of people who attempt to vend the dope from the box.

* Anger Release Machine – This kind is chock full of plates and china for individuals looking to blow off some steam. Usually, the machines include things like dishes, plates, and glass dinnerware. When the kitchen ware is vended, the machine drops the piece of tableware down through the slot and it smashes before the person’s eyes.

Convenience is very important in the success of vending machines. Most people buy out convenience. So, the location of one determines how successful it is. Consumers value the convenience of running up to a machine, buying something quickly, and then leaving. This is particularly true with Redbox, the new movie vending machine. This vending machine provides movie rentals through touch screen vending. The customer simply returns the DVD back to a Redbox machine and do not have to wait in line at a store. If the movie is not returned, the person can be forced to buy it from a credit card authorized charge.

Idea after idea is being put to the test through vending machine dispensary. Lately, vending machines are built with touch screens, debit and credit card readers, and other improvements that contribute to the usability of them and make them a better option than going to a store to buy things. It is interesting to guess what will be sold in vending machines in the future.
