Small Advice for the Amateur Nevada Craft Fairs Goer

by Rick Amorey

The State that gets things done. That’s what Nevada prides itself on. Being a place where conservative laws, which have plagued a lot of other States, are non-existent, people here are free to do whatever they want, as long as it is within the limits of moral values. For this reason, most people here are free to express their creativity in artistic pursuits.

The pursuit of making crafts is one such artistic endeavor. If you surf around the Internet, you will find that there is surprisingly a hundred and more craft fairs and festivals that are scheduled to happen within this year. There are lots of opportunities to see Nevada creativity; who knows, you may be one as well.

Have you ever had a fondness for creating intricate objects of art? Do you have a fascination for representing your thoughts in physical form, whether in sharp, modern style or in sleek, classical finish? Are you fond of sharing your work; but too afraid of the criticism that you may receive? If you prefer to craft wondrous items while your friends wash the time away in bars, then attending craft shows would be for you.

Anyone who is mildly computer literate can find online fliers that promote craft shows near their home. You already have that skill, without doubt. But what you still need to learn when you are an aspiring crafts entrepreneur is the ability to choose the right show that will suit your needs. Besides choosing the events that are close to home, you should also establish a good line of communication between yourself and the event organizers. Ask how they run things. And make sure that their annual event did well before.

Remember to keep this line of communication open. If you do, then you’re fairly certain to perform well at any of the craft shows around Nevada. I will leave you with one final tip: Negative criticisms aren’t a bad thing. The negative comments may hurt, but ultimately, they will serve to better your craft if you choose to listen to well-chosen ones.
