You can decide to do what a lot of people do in this internet game and choose something that you are totally passionate about and market the heck out of it. Who knows, you might get lucky and pick the right niche market. Chances are you wont.

Choosing something that you are totally passionate about is not the correct way to go about it, in my own personal opinion. If you plan on putting a lot of your precious time into marketing, I would think you would want to reap some rewards. Am I Right?

What I do at the start of a new project is I go to Google’s Free Keyword tool. Type in the root Keyword for your topic and it’s like Magic. You have a very large list of keywords that also have the number of times that they have been looked for in Google.

Pick a few keyword topics that look promising. Sure people are searching on these topics, but are they buying? Take a look at Amazon and see if there are any popular books written on the topic and also see if there are any magazines. This is a real indicator that people in that market are buying. Do a check on Google too. Type in a keyword and look for paid sponsor ads on the right side. If you see a lot then this is also a good indicator.

Next we will venture on over to a place where you can actually make money. It is called Yahoo Answers. Search for your topic and if you already have a site built you could answer there question and have your website link at the bottom of your answer. Be helpful though and don’t spam the site. Give them good content and some will follow your link.

The next topic is Very Crucial. Now that you know people are searching for your topic you want to know if you can compete. Its a lot easier to get to the top of search engines if you find Keywords that a lot of people are searching for but there is a small amount of competition.

There’s a tool that you need to get that will give you the edge on the competition. It is by far the most wonderful thing available, that I have found. Check out the Video’s and I think you will be impressed.

If you do the research that I mentioned earlier and apply this tool you will be so far ahead of the rest of the pack trying to make their living on the internet. Do this right and it could be like hitting the Lottery.
